The planned closure of Halifax’s beloved off-leash dog park in Africville has dog owners searching for a new place to take their pets. Wednesday night a public information session will allow residents to share thoughts on where a new park should be located. Dog behavior consultant Tristan Flynn joins us at 7:15 to discuss the importance of off-leash parks, and how they help to shape dogs’ behavior to become happier healthier animals.

A new campaign hopes to gather clothing donations for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters. The foundation sells clothing it receives to Value Village (which pays by the pound), and funds 1/4 of the Halifax/Dartmouth Big Brothers/Sisters’ budget. At 8:45 Candy Palmater will join us to share how people can help, along with her plans to walk the Pride Parade route, asking people to donate “the shirts off their backs.”
